Maypro has entered a new distribution partnership with NuCelium to bring its North American-grown, certified organic, full-spectrum mushroom powders to the U.S. nutraceutical and functional foods market.

The company’s proprietary full-spectrum growing and fermentation processes deliver the complete matrix of mushroom bioactives — fruiting body, mycelium, and extracellular compounds. The result is a neutral-tasting, versatile ingredient ideal for use in functional foods, beverages, and dietary supplements.

Unlike traditional grain-grown mycelium, NuCelium cultivates its mushrooms on a sorghum substrate that is naturally fermented, providing added prebiotic and dietary fiber benefits.

Available mushroom varietals include Cordyceps militaris, Cordyceps sinensis, Turkey Tail, Lion’s Mane, Reishi, Chaga, Maitake, Shiitake, Almond, and King Trumpet.

NuCelium is also introducing  Cordyfuel, the first and only Cordyceps militaris-derived ingredient standardized to 3 mg/g of cordycepin (verified by UPLC) — a level more than 30 times higher than typical industry standards, the company said. Cordyfuel also features standardized levels of polysaccharides and β-glucans, ensuring consistent potency and a complete, full-spectrum mushroom profile.
